History

In October 1999, Steven had just completed a four year degree at University.  Knowing that he now had some extra time up his sleeve, he was brainstorming with his sister Connie (who is a Christmas season enthusiast), and they came up with the concept of opening a Christmas Gift Shop.  Six weeks of planning and preparation work saw the emergence of a small gift shop called Hamper World on the 4^th December 1999.  Pushed for space at this time, many of the hampers were made in Steve's garage and transported daily to the new retail outlet.  With the support of family and friends, Hamper World has evolved from a small operation producing several hundred hampers, to currently producing in excess of twenty thousand hampers each year.

Traditionally named Hamper World we have extended our services and grown to supply many items.  They range from kitchen electrical appliances and White Goods, to Audio Visual and Toys; whilst not forgetting the traditional hampers which our clients have come to love and enjoy.

Throughout our ten years of operation, many hotels and clubs have approached Hamper World for the supply of hampers and gift packs for various raffles and promotions.  "As our business has evolved, Hotels and Clubs have become a core focus area." "If we can help a Club or Hotel save money, save time through offering our services, then we know we are doing something helpful for the clubs and hotels of Victoria".

With a family background in the hotel industry, Steve had seen first-hand some of the pressures and time restraints experienced by hotel owners and club managers.  After several months of planning, Hamper World came up with a solution which would  alleviate pressure from the managers, while assisting them in growing their business, saving time and money along the way. This is when the promotions arm "Promotions in a Box" was born.
